Opportunity for Public Comment on the 2023-2024 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report

The Town of Cary’s draft Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for the 2023-2024 fiscal year is available for review and public comment.
The CAPER covers the period beginning July 1, 2023 and ending June 30, 2024 and describes the projects and activities the Town has undertaken in meeting the goals and objectives of the 2020-2025 Five-Year Consolidated Plan, including the 2023-2024 Annual Action Plan. Such projects and activities included the Healthy Homes Cary home rehabilitation program through Rebuilding Together of the Triangle, housing rehabilitation for The Carying Place’s portfolio of transitional housing, and White Oak Foundation’s suite of crisis ministry services. Financial resources include the annual CDBG allocation from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), federal funding allocated to Cary through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), and Cary General Fund allocations.
All members of the public are welcome to review and comment on the CAPER by 5:00 p.m. on Sept. 26, 2024. Based on the comments received, the final CAPER may be amended before submission to HUD on or about Sept. 28, 2024.
