Community leaders, project partners, and local stakeholders gathered on June 5 to celebrate the opening of Rose Park Manor, a new affordable senior housing community that expands housing choices for older adults in Cary.

Developed and managed by Beacon Management Corporation, Rose Park Manor includes 81 affordable apartments reserved for seniors age 55 and older earning 60% or less of the Area Median Income (AMI). The community offers convenient access to GoCary transit, downtown Cary amenities, healthcare services, shopping, and recreation opportunities.

The development was made possible through significant investment from Cary and Wake County, including $3 million in Cary funding which leveraged over $20 million from additional project partners. The project represents years of planning, coordination, and collaboration among community partners committed to expanding affordable housing opportunities in the community.

“Rose Park Manor helps create opportunities for older adults to remain connected to services, transportation, and the community while aging in place,” said Mayor Pro Tem Lori Bush. “This development reflects the type of collaborative, community-focused investment needed to expand housing choices in Cary.”

Cary’s support for Rose Park Manor advances key goals identified in the Imagine Cary Community Plan and Cary Housing Plan. The development adds affordable housing options for seniors, supports infill development, and promotes walkable, transit-oriented living near services and commercial centers.
