• White Flag

A White Flag warning is a program in North Carolina that provides temporary emergency shelter for people experiencing homelessness when severe weather is expected. A White Flag is declared when the temperature or windchill is expected to be below 35°.

Take GoTriangle Route 300 from Cary Depot into Raleigh. St. John’s Metropolitan Community Church can be accessed from the bus stop on Western Blvd. at Boylan Ave. (Stop ID 1299), a ~14-minute walk. The shelter can also be accessed by taking GoTriangle Route 300 to GoRaleigh Station and transferring to GoRaleigh Route 7, getting off on Dawson St. at Cabarrus St. (Stop ID 9744) with a ~3-minute walk to the shelter.

Take GoTriangle Route 300 from Cary Depot into Raleigh and get off at the bus stop on Edenton St. at Salisbury St. (Stop ID 9674) First Baptist Church is directly across Edenton St. from the bus stop.

Take GoTriangle Route 300 from Cary Depot into Raleigh to GoRaleigh Station. Transfer to Route 1 and get off at the bus stop on Capital Blvd. at Crabtree Blvd. (Stop ID 8005). Salvation Army is across the intersection of Capital Blvd. and Crabtree Blvd. from the bus stop.

Harrington Place is located behind St. John’s Metropolitan Community Church.
